Good Morning

Las Vegas, Nevada. I live here, and I work here. I am a Slot Host at a Food 4 Less, in the Gaming area. Right now I am trying to wake up, -- as I work 2 different shifts. Today is Thursday - so I work from 5:30am to 3:00 PM. This is the most difficult day of my week. Sleep being the hardest thing to come by.

Our cat, Gracie, thinks that she is the center of our universe- and in some ways she is. Though this AM, spilling the milk that was intended for my coffee cup onto the top of the peanut butter lid was of mass importance while I tried to keep my eye lids open.
I wanted to post something witty here, but that is not going to happen. My husband is snoozing after working a complete day of overtime. I wish I could remain comotose right next to him.
Instead, I need to take my shower, drink my coffeeeeeee and greet the day. Thing is, I actually work in the City of North Las Vegas, which is a seperate city from Las Vegas. I need to leave early enough to be on time, as I am the only one who works in my area. The life of a slot host is a solitary one except for shift change, which is a 15 minute period when your shifts overlap. During that time, you balance your bank and turn over the keys and the kingdom (so to speak) to the new arrival. The whole of your day is occupied with waiting on your customers. Repairing and dressing dolls is much preferred, but I am grateful for my job. Shower time!

Day One... Ground Zero... Here We Go

This blog isn't just for me, its for you too. If you share an interest or an obession, or introduce me to a new one we can talk about it here.

My interests are pretty ecclectic, but mainly, I enjoy nearly anything having to do with Dragons and Dolls.

If you own a Dollikin, a Volk's Dollfie or any other fashionista diva... I love 'em. I have been repairing and dressing Dollikins for many years now, and will share different things here I have learned to do, and not do.
I will also post pictures of different doll repairs I have performed, so you can do them too!

I paint and sculpt- and that is where my dragon obession begins. I will add pictures and info as certain projects make their way in and out of the oven so you can see some of my beasties (I do more than sculpt dragons) from start to finish.
The little red garden dragon is a watercolor I completed and sold last year. Postcard size. The Ad is from an old Ward's catalog - Dollikin in her original outfits.
Cheers! PB
